The Problem: Air Conditioners and other compressor driven units (including heat pumps, coolers, chillers and ice machines) tend to loose efficiency after a few years in service. The reason for the loss is that the refrigeration oil designed to remain in the compressor starts to migrate or move with the refrigerant into the coils of the evaporator and condenser. The oil then starts to "stick" to the walls of the metal tubing that make up the evaporator and condenser coil increasing the cycling of the compressor, resulting in increased electricity usage and decreased equipment life. The Solution:We install "PROPA" (Polarized Oil Additive) in the AC and the Cooling Units to increse volumetric efficency and to extend the life of the unit. |
